Music scores at university libraries?

I've been searching for a particular musical score for a very long time, and have just discovered that it is available at a university library relatively close to my residence. Would scores part of their collection be available for check-out to everyone, or is it limited to students and faculty of the university?

  1. You'll need to get a library card, and you might need to pay a fee for it. But you could probably just go over there and photocopy it for no more than the price of the photocopy. Unless it's a famous school like Harvard or Cambridge or something, they usually don't check IDs on your way in, only if you want to take something out.
  2. well at a university library near here you need a student ID from any nearby school to checkout. Or just photocopy it there.
